North Eugene High School

Important Leadership Update

Posted Date: 01/10/25 (04:30 PM)

Dear North Eugene High School Families,

I am writing to inform our school community that on Wednesday, November 13th, Principal Nain Munoz submitted his resignation, effective at the end of the 2024-25 academic year. We are grateful for Principal Munoz's thoughtful timing, which provides us ample opportunity to conduct a thorough search for North Eugene's next leader. We appreciate his dedicated leadership over the past year and a half, and we wish him well in his future endeavors.

As Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and Access for School District 4J, I want to share our transition plan with you. The district will begin our principal search process in February 2025. This timeline allows us to conduct a comprehensive search while ensuring meaningful input from all stakeholders - including our families. We will be organizing opportunities for parent and guardian input regarding the qualities and characteristics you believe are important in North Eugene's next principal.

We understand that leadership transitions can raise questions and concerns. Please know that our priority is to maintain stability for our students while ensuring we select an outstanding leader who will continue to move North Eugene High School forward. We will keep our school community informed throughout this process.

For questions about the search process or parent input opportunities, please contact either myself (williams_l@4j.lane.edu) or Greg Borgerding (borgerding_g@4j.lane.edu), Director of High Schools.

Best regards,

Larry WilliamsAssistant Superintendent of Instruction
